I'm Sharon Murphy, a professor emerita at the Faculty of Education at York University. Changing Literacy offers my take on how literacy and education are changing in today's society and how change might be implemented. I'm interested in how we go about making sense of all of the representations of meaning that are part of our daily world and how we, in turn, represent meaning to share with others.

Changing Literacy features a blog that I have been writing since 2013; however, only selected posts older than 2026 are posted. In addition, the site includes resources such as archival samples of children reading and videos of presentations and workshops.
