Changing Literacy offers my take on issues on how literacy and education are changing in today's society and how change might be effected in that society. I'm Sharon Murphy, a professor in the Faculty of Education at York University. I'm interested in how we go about making sense of all of the representations of meaning that are part of our daily world and how we, in turn, represent meaning to share with others.
Changing Literacy features my commentaries, notes about classic and contemporary texts of interest, along with some resources such as archival samples of children reading and videos of presentations and workshops.
